Plausible Software

Plausible Software is the vanity project of Paul McLean and a vehicle for exploring synthesis methodologies and possibilities for the Android Operating System.

Paul McLean has over 38 years of experiencing developing software applications for a variety of platforms. As a member of Google’s Android OS Audio team 13 years, he was responsible for core audio APIs (especially USB audio, audio devices and audio routing), testing platforms and sample applications.

He discovered electronic music in 1976 when he discovered a film strip of Milton Babbit describing Musique Concrète and the RCA Mark II synthesizer. He went on to study Electronic Music at the University of Wisconsin (under Prof. Joel Naumann) and Computer Science receiving his degree in 1987.

Currently, and for the last 30 years, he has been the keyboardist for “Every Waking Hour” and progressive rock band based in Denver, Colorado.
